Class Descriptions

Crossfit Class: This class is for people who have been Crossfitting for a couple of months and have a basic understanding of the 9 Crossfit Movements. Each class will incorporate these moves and introduce more complex moves like the snatch, kipping pull up, and much more. These workouts will be more intense then the Elements Class so expect to step it up a notch! Athletes in these classes have made Crossfit a part of their life and are working to increase their levels of strength and conditioning and to master new skills.

Elements Class: This class is for beginners or people who have never done Crossfit before. This class takes you through 9 Basic Movements essential to helping you move forward safely in the Crossfit Program. You will learn to Squat, Front Squat, Overhead Squat, Press, Push Press, Push Jerk, Deadlift, Sumo Deadlift High Pull, and Clean with Medicine Balls. In this class you will spend a good 20-30 minutes learning one of the above technical movements. After this, expect to get sweaty as we will finish with a Crossfit workout. We recommend that you take at least 9 classes before you move into the regular Crossfit Classes. Check the online schedule to see what movement will be taught in each class.

Foundations of Strength: Strength training is a big part of the Crossfit Program. We are always looking to get stronger so we can lift more in the Crossfit workouts and therefore increase our intensity. This class focuses on getting athletes stronger in the squat, press, deadlift, bench press and much more. This is also a great place for beginners to start as we teach them basic foundational moves that enable them to be stronger in the regular Crossfit Workouts. We recommend this for all our athletes.

Olympic Weightlifting Class: This class focuses on teaching the Snatch and Clean n Jerk. These exercises incorporate strength with movement and are a great training tool for any athlete. Because these movements are quite technical, we ask that you have completed our Elements Classes before starting this program.

CF MOMS Class: This class is specifically for MOM’s with newborns or children up to the age of 3. Taunya is a Crossfit Westside Trainer who has over 3 years experience Coaching and is Certified in both Pre-Post Natal Training and Crossfit. We wanted to offer a flexible, like minded environment for busy moms who are able to have their children at the gym while they train. This class is programmed for moms working to get their post baby fitness back as we focus on cardio conditioning and building basic strength. CF KIDS Class: CrossFit Kids is a group class that combines being active and having fun! All movements involve exercises that are essential to children’s play like pulling, pushing, running, throwing, climbing, lifting and jumping. In addition, kids will build team building skills, confidence, focus, self-discipline, leadership and sportsmanship.

Open Time: This is an hour when clients or non-members can drop in to do their own workout. Non-members price is $20. Please pre-register online for class if non-member.
