We are so excited to have this crew at Crossfit Westside every Monday evenings at 8pm. Dieter (above) has over 40 years experience in Coaching Weightlifting and has helped many young athletes reach national and international achievements in competition. Dieter’s passion, enthusiasm, and amazing coaching have inspired us and we in turn have helped raise over $5000 to date for his athletes. These proceeds have helped many of his young athletes be able to fly and compete all over the world. The Reed Athletics Fund
Gary Reed is a 2x Olympian and Canadian 800m Record Holder. After retiring from athletics in 2010 he created the Reed Athletics Fund to provide financial support to Canadian Olympic hopefuls in the sport of track and field during the developmental phases of their careers. We were lucky enough to have Gary come into Crossfit Westside and do a Running Seminar for us. Not only did we learn a ton about how to run more efficiently and productively, but it was inspiring to learn more about what it takes to become an Olympian. It takes time and training, but it also takes financial help. We are proud to support such a great foundation and to be a part of helping our young Canadian Olympic hopefuls get to that next level in their sport. The Greater Vancouver Food Bank
